Bernardino di Betto, also known as Pinturicchio or Pictoricius in latin, was a great and talented painter during the Umbrian Renaissance. Not only did he actively work in the region where he was born, he was also engaged in a large amount of work in Rome and other Italian cities. He was also commissioned to work under five Popes. Like Pinturicchio, the Sangiovese grape is a unique gift of nature. It is one of the most important grape varieties of Umbria, especially in the Torgiano area, where the Torgiano Rosso Riserva, the first DOCG of the region, comes to full expression. The Margaritelli family is passionately connected with these two symbols of Umbria, their union represents the emblem of local excellence.
